Anyone can put a person in a hi-vis shirt and call it security. A good static guard is something else entirely: someone who turns up on time, learns the site, notices what is out of place and can be trusted alone on your premises at three in the morning. That is who we hire, and it is why clients keep our static guards on the same sites for years rather than weeks.
A static, or fixed-post, guard is assigned to one location instead of roving between sites. It suits anywhere that needs a constant presence: a construction site after hours, a gatehouse checking vehicles in and out, a warehouse or yard, a car park, a retail precinct, or a building that has had break-ins and simply needs the problem to stop. Leaving plant, tools and materials on site over a weekend is a gamble; a guard on site takes most of that risk off the table.

Building sites are one of the most common places we post static guards. Tools, copper, fuel and machinery are easy targets, and a single break-in can cost far more than the guard — in replacement equipment, insurance excesses and lost days on the program. A visible guard at the gate, combined with regular patrols of the compound, deters most opportunists and gives you a witness and a written record if something does happen.
Our site guards understand construction environments. They follow your site safety rules and sign-in procedures, work around plant movements and deliveries, and can take on extra gatehouse duties such as vehicle inspections and general tidy-ups that add real value to your operation. Yes. Every guard holds a current Queensland security licence and is police-checked before they start. We are happy to share licence details and our certificate of currency, which most builders and property managers ask for.
Can I get a guard for just one night or a weekend?
Absolutely. We cover one-off nights, weekends, holiday shutdowns and ongoing contracts. Tell us the dates and the site and we will sort out the rest.
Do static guards patrol, or stay in one spot?
Both. A static guard holds a fixed post — usually the gate or main entry — but runs scheduled patrols of the site. Each patrol is logged, so you can see exactly what was checked and when.
How quickly can you start?

Is a static guard better than mobile patrols?
It depends on the risk. A static guard gives constant presence and suits high-value or high-risk sites. Mobile patrols visit several times a night at random and cost less, which suits lower-risk sites. Many clients combine the two, and we will recommend what fits.
What happens if a guard finds an intruder?
Our guards are trained to observe, report and de-escalate. They will challenge trespassers where it is safe to do so, call police when required, alert our control room and your nominated contacts, and document everything in an incident report.
